- As per the Volaris Airline Pet Policy, If the container carrying the pet is heavier than 10 kg, then it must be shipped in the airline cargo hold on the same flight on which the owner is traveling.
- The weight of the container and the pet combined should not exceed more than 45 kg to be traveled in the aircraft cargo.
- Cats and Dogs are allowed to be taken as pets.
- Those pets who are below in age of 4 months, or have any medical condition, are violent in behavior, and pregnant females are not allowed to fly with the airline.
- As per the Pet Policy of Volaris Airlines, there are only four pets are allowed per aircraft, and only one pet per passenger is allowed to travel in the cabin.
- You must take valid health certificates, and immunization certificates, Pets that are under anesthesia or lack any other health documentation will not be allowed in the aircraft.
- Pets with bad odors or who need to be scrubbed down are not allowed on the flight.
- Pets must be kept with a collar, leash, or harness during their flight journey.

To be accepted in the cabin, the pet should meet the following requirements-
- As per the Volaris pet policy 2023, your pet should be kept in an enclosure with dimensions not more than 44 cm x 30 cm x 19 cm (17.5 x 12 x 7.5 inches).
- Inside the enclosure, the pet should be able to walk and stand properly.
- The cage should be made with firm materials for dogs and should meet the guidelines, and for cats, you can take a cage or kennel.
- The cage should fit beneath the seat.
- The pet should be kept inside the cage throughout the journey.
- Passengers who are flying with a pet as a cat need to sit in the last seat of the flight near the window seat.
What are Volaris airline's in-cabin pet requirements?
If you are taking your pet as checked baggage, then your pet cage or kennel should meet the following requirements:
- The combined weight of the pet and the cage should not exceed 45 kg.
- The cage should be firmly made with the best material.
- The cage must be impenetrable and have good ventilation on all four sides.
- If the cage measurements exceed from 158 linear cm, then you will be asked to pay an excess fee to the airline.
- There should be space in the cage so the animals can roam freely and should be able to stand up.
